Resort Description:
Telluride is located in southwest Colorado's majestic San Juan Mountains. What began as a turn-of-the-century
mining community has evolved into a world-renowned resort.
Located on the scenic San Juan Skyway in southwest Colorado, Telluride and Telluride Mountain Village are 67
miles south of Montrose, 127 miles south of Grand Junction, 125 miles northwest of Durango; 7 hours from Denver,
9 from Phoenix and 5 from Albuquerque. Telluride shares the same latitude as San Francisco and Athens, Greece.
Climate - Daytime temperatures in the 70s are usual for our high alpine, semi-arid climate. Weather can change
dramatically, even over the course of a day. Sunny mornings may be followed by afternoon thundershowers and
clear evenings. Nighttime temperatures often dip into the 40s.
Towns of Telluride & Mountain Village
Two towns in one, Telluride and Mountain Village offer the best of Colorado's past and progressive present. A
National Historic Landmark District with Victorian-era architecture, Telluride rests at the base of the Telluride Ski
Mountain and is surrounded by 13,000-foot (almost 4,000-meter) peaks. Telluride is connected to Mountain Village
by a free gondola. Located mid-mountain at 9,500 feet above sea level, Mountain Village overlooks some of
Colorado's most magnificent peaks.
Airport - Telluride Regional Airport Telluride, Colorado Located on Deep Creek Mesa, the Telluride Regional Airport
is North America's highest commercial airport at an elevation on 9,078 feet above sea level. It is five miles west of
the Towns of Telluride and Mountain Village
