Ullr Fest in Breckenridge

Year after year, Ullr blesses Breckenridge with some of the finest snow in the world. To repay Ullr for his generous gift, the Breck community holds a festival like no other to honor the god of Winter. This weeklong celebration of Ullr (pronounced Ooh-ler), the mythical Norse god of Snow, brings a vivacious energy to legendary Main Street with live entertainment and a bar series, a Nordic event, Ullympics and an ice-skating party. Join us to rejoice with Ullr himself.

2010 Tentative Schedule of Events:

Ullr Skating Party – January 10 (1:15 - 4:30 pm):
Join the fun at the Stephen C. West Arena, hosted by your very own Breckenridge Resort Chamber Ambassadors. All proceeds benefit Al Chaffee Scholarship program, helping local students.

Ullr Nordic Party & Bonfire – January 11 (5:30 - 9:00 pm):
The crowning of the Ullr King and Queen, food and a cash bar. What more do you need? The crowning is followed by a beginner-friendly Nordic ski and snowshoe out to the bonfire. It all takes place at Gold Run Nordic Center on the Breckenridge Golf Course.

The Dating Game Breck-Style – January 12 (8:00 pm):
Adults over the age of 21 are welcome to attend Breckenridge’s version of the Dating Game at Cecilia’s Martini Bar and Nightclub. Apply to be a bachelor or bachelorette and meet some Breck’s finest guys and gals! Call 970.453.2234.

Ullympics – January 13:
Co-ed teams compete like crazy for fun and prizes in three events at Carter Park. An after party follows at a local joint with beer and prize giveaways. Get ready for some action.

Ullr Parade – January 14 (4:30 pm):
The infamous Ullr parade kicks-off on North Main Street and moseys south through the heart of Breckenridge. This is one you cannot miss!

Comedy Night – January 15:
Laugh the night away with stand-up talent from Comedy Works of Denver. Enjoy light appetizers, good friends, giveaways, a cash bar and more good times.

Chili Cook Off Event – January 16 (3:00 – 8:00 pm):
Join us for the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary Club Chilly Chili Cook Off at the Riverwalk Center. Enjoy samplings from local and world famous chili chefs, live entertainment, plus fun activities for the whole family.
