Winter Park Resort is the closest major ski resort to Denver (1½ hours driving time) and has long boasted of a reputation as the favourite ski area in Colorado. It is understandable that all those lucky locals who have the best skiing on earth at their doorstep appreciate a ski area with grandiose and varied terrain, the constant upgrades to lifts and the variety of day lodge facilities, consistantly good snow, exceptional children's and beginner facilities and moderate prices.

The Village at Winter Park Resort has 30,000 square feet of new retail, restaurants, and living space and also features a new Village Cabriolet.  Located at the base of Winter Park Resort, The Village connects to existing dining and shopping space and is located just steps from the slopes.

Winter Park Resort consists of four adjacent areas: Winter Park, Mary Jane, (including Parsenn Bowl), Vasquez Cirque, and Vasquez Ridge.  A network of trails and chairlifts connects the four distinct mountains.  Winter Park Resort is the oldest continually operated resort in Colorado.
