Aspen has become quite the destination for cycling enthusiasts.  Not only will Aspen play host to two stages of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge this year, it will be kicking biking season off with its very own Aspen Cycling Festival.

Food & wine & music – oh my! FOOD & WINE will toast the 30th anniversary of its sold-out FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen with a benefit concert and party at the Benedict Music Tent in Aspen, Colorado. Elvis Costello & The Blue Beguilers will headline the evening and food will be served by acclaimed chefs José Andrés, Mario Batali and Michel Nischan.

Aspen Center for Environmental Studies: Creating a Climate for Change & Earth Day Celebration

Just because the lifts are closed doesn’t mean there aren’t great activities to be had.  The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies is presenting an evening entitled, “Creating a Climate for Change” this Thursday April 19th at 7:30 p.m.  Open Society Media Fellow Jeffery Barbee presents a five-country series of positive African Climate Change Projects that are examples for the world to follow. Enjoy a special launch of the 35 minute film and an open discussion with scientists and the film maker.

This Just In: Aspen Highlands to Close 4/15

      After thoughtful deliberation, Aspen Skiing Company has decided to close the doors on Aspen Highlands one week early.  The mountain was anticipated to close Sunday, April 22nd, however due lower mountain conditions not being stellar, they’ve decided to move up the closing day to April 15th.  That means that the traditional Aspen Highlands Closing Day blow out comes one week early this year.  Get your retro costumes ready and we’ll see you there on Sunday, April 15th!
