Shaun White, two-time Olympic gold medalist, has signed a deal to represent all six of Vail Resorts in Colorado and California. He will be based and train at Northstar-at-Tahoe in California and will design a signature 22-foot halfpipe there. The company will donate $5 for each Epic season pass sold to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, White's chosen charity. Epic passes range from $499 to $699.
The U.S. Forest Service is seeking ski and snowboard volunteers to lead guided tours at Heavenly Mountain Resort one day a week for its “Ski with a Ranger” program.
Volunteers will be provided with a thorough orientation and a day pass for the day of each tour. The expected time commitment will be four to six hours a week, January through April, depending upon a volunteer's availability.
