FAQ

Who is Coda Travel?

Coda Travel (originally Colorado Destination Adventures) has been selling ski and snowboarding holidays and packages since 1997. Starting with Colorado resorts in the late 90s, and then expanding into all the major resorts in the Western USA and Canada by 2008, we have built up a loyal following of customers from Europe and beyond.

All our staff are passionate skiers and boarders, with many years of experience in building custom made packages, at the right resorts for our customers’ requirements. We have local knowledge and special pricing for international visitors to the USA and Canada. In all major resorts we have a local representative (most speak 2 or more languages), who provide you with in-resort support and information.

As of June 2012, Coda Travel has offices in the UK, Spain and the USA.

How long will take to get a quote?

Depending on the complexity of your request, you should expect to have an accurate quote within 48 hours. The quote is valid for 24 hours after it is sent to you. On occasion we can request a hold for 24-48hrs, depending on the property.

If you book your package online then you will receive a confirmation in 24 hrs. of your booking.

What forms of payment does Coda Travel accept?

Coda Travel accepts most credit cards and wire transfers. There is a 3% processing fee on credit card transactions above USD/CAD $2500, except those made via the booking engine, on our website.

Once I pay, when will I get a receipt?

We will send you a detailed confirmation with all payments and confirmation numbers for each product. You will also receive the contact details for the local representative and office for our ground handler, as well as 24 hr. phone customer support while in North America (+1 866 754 2632).

Do I receive any support while travelling to resort and in the resort?

We will do everything possible to make sure that your trip is smooth and enjoyable. While travelling to or from the resort, you have support via our toll free number (+1 866 754 2632). In addition to this, our in-resort reps are very experienced and are available to assist you with local information, advice, and support while you are in resort. Their contact details will also be in the welcome packet you will collect at check-in to your hotel or condo, along with lift tickets and ski rental vouchers.

What are the refund and cancellation policies?

We work with the standard policies that are set in conjunction with our hotel partners, but we will do our best to find alternative solutions, when possible. Typical policies for most bookings are:

Hotel Cancellation Policy: If cancelled inside 24 hrs. no charge. Outside of 30 days (60 days for Holiday Period) before arrival – 1 or 2 nights deposit non-refundable. If cancelled inside 30 days – no refunds. Some hotels’ policies vary – please request cancellation policies for individual hotels if needed.

Lift Ticket Cancellation Policy: As long as tickets are completely unused and returned to us undamaged, then we can provide a full refund, less a $50 charge.

Transfer Cancellation Policy: Refundable if cancelled outside 48 hours. Inside 48 hours no refunds.

Should I buy insurance?

Definitely! We strongly advise all visitors to the USA and Canada to have adequate insurance to cover for cancellations, delays, etc., as well as medical cover for skiing or other snow sports.
