Selkirk Tangiers offers a variety of Day Heli Skiing options to suit most budgets. Based out of Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Whether this is your first time heli skiing or you are returning for another day, one of the options below will provide you with the experience of a lifetime. All of the Day Heli Skiing packages include meals (full buffet breakfast, gourmet mountain lunch, and après ski snacks), Barryvox Pulse avalanche transceiver, snow safety training, powder performance ski or snowboard rental, and ACMG and/or UIAGM guiding services.


Powder Excursion

The opportunity to go heli skiing has never been so easy! The Powder Excursion is a single day option that is ideal for people who want to try the sport for the first time. A relaxed pace to the day allows you to discover just how fantastic heli skiing really is. Enjoy your first helicopter flight, unbelievable vistas, legendary powder, and the thrill of skiing untouched terrain. This package operates from Wednesday to Saturday throughout the ski season. We use the Bell 205 helicopter which accommodates 10 skiers and 2 guides. The Powder Excursion package includes 3 runs from $797 per person. Additional runs can be purchased at a cost of $65 per run (dependent on group consensus, weather, and time constraints).

Powder Adventure

Ideal for experienced skiers and snowboarders looking for a big day of heli skiing. Enjoy the thrill of skiing untouched terrain and challenging yourself to ski a variety of runs. Previous heli ski experience is recommended. We use the Bell 205 helicopter which accommodates up to 10 skiers and a guide. The Powder Adventure package includes 5 runs from $926 per person. Additional vertical metres can be purchased at a cost of $65 per run (group consensus required).


Day Star Private Heli Package

This is the ultimate day skiing experience! Flying with your private Eurocopter A-Star helicopter, your guide will take your group of up to 4 down the ski runs of your dreams. Available from the heli pad at the Hillcrest Hotel or inquire about pick-up options from other private locations. The Day Star Private package includes 5,000 vertical metres at $7,080 with capacity for up to 4, or $8,704 with capacity for up to 5. Extra vertical can be purchased for $590 per 1,000 vertical metres per group.

No Frills Heli Skiing Package

This package allows our heli ski guests to choose their own adventure. Ideal for travelers looking to customize their experience, this package offers guests a great heli skiing experience at a great price.

Heli-Assisted Ski Touring

Selkirk Tangiers offers heli-assisted ski touring to get you out into our incredible terrain. This package requires a minimum of 3 guests. Your day includes a helicopter lift in the morning, a full day of ski touring with your guide, with a lift out at the end of the day. Ski touring equipment or a split-snowboard is required (not included). The Heli-Assisted Touring package is available upon request at a cost of $635 per person plus HST.

Discover the interior BC region in Canada, aka "The Powder Highway". Situated in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, known locally as the Kootenay Rockies region, the Powder Highway is a region that boasts the highest concentration of alpine resorts, backcountry, cat, heli and cross-country skiing/riding in the world. With 18m (60 ft) of average annual snowfall, the Kootenay Rockies are one of the world's meccas for powder skiing and snowboarding. The total area is more than 3 million acres and features the big mountains of the Canadian Rockies and Columbias - the Purcells, the Selkirks and the Monashees. 

The route includes Fernie, Kicking Horse, Kimberley, Panorama, Red Mountain, Revelstoke and Whitewater/Nelson. There are a total of 23 backcountry lodges, 14 cat-ski operators, 18 heli-ski operators and 14 nordic/cross-country centres. 




The location and distance of many of these resorts to each other makes a ski safari trip, with 3 or more resorts, an easy option and a great one at that, for a trip to this region of Canada will be like no other. Discover the culture and people, as well as the historical towns, each with their own particular character. And it snows alot, so there is a good chance you will ski powder on a 10-15 day trip, at any time of the season!
