Shaun White Wins Park City's New Intelligent Design Snowboard Comp

Park City, UT - Snowboarding phenomenon Shaun White dominated Park City Mountain Resort's unique new Intelligent Design freeride contest on Saturday, inching closer to a potential second TTR World Snowboard Tour title by entering the tour's Top 5. Close behind White was Canadian shredder Charles Reid, who finished second in Utah and moved up into World No. 7 with U.S. rider Luke Mitrani rounding out the podium in third.

The Intelligent Design took elements from Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Quarterpipe and put them all into one run as a catalyst for creativity. The course in Park City Mountain Resort's Pick 'N Shovel Terrain Park and Eagle Superpipe consisted of a 60-foot kicker, hip jump, jib section, and a 350-foot long, 22-foot pipe with jibs on each deck before the course finished with a Quarterpipe at the end.

"A lot of guys only hit one thing or the other, so this definitely catered towards my riding style," White said about the unconventional course. "I'm excited to get my win here, get some more points and I'll see you at the US Open."

With the 5Star Intelligent Design now complete, the Swatch TTR World Tour now turns to the 6Star Burton US Open at Stratton Mountain in Vermont, where big players from around the globe will congregate for the season finale.
