Riding a mountain bike is a great way of getting around and enjoying the mountains and
valleys - not even a 4 wheel drive jeep can take you to places that are accessible by bike.
There is an incredible amount of mountain biking available in and around the mountain
resorts, with some lift-accessed riding available using the ski lifts that operate in most of
the major resorts from June - September. Colorado alone has ....miles of mountain bike
trails and some of the world's best mountain biking is found in the Rocky Mountains.
The Rockies have some of the world's best fly fishing. There are 9000 miles of trout
streams and rivers in the state of Colorado alone, of which 168 miles are designated 'Gold
Medal' category. There are guides available to teach and show you the best areas to fish.

This is definitely the land of wicked whitewater, but there are still rivers in the mountains for
those who require less excitement in their lives! The season runs from May - Sept, with the
water being highest in May and June. There are many rafting companies and kayaking
schools throughout the western USA. Please contact us for specific information on these
activities for the resorts that interest you.
Nestled into the mountain landscapes, there are many beautiful golf courses in this part of
the world, many of which are world-class courses. Most courses open from late April until
late October although at lower elevations there are courses open year-round.
Hot air ballooning is an experience you will remember for a lifetime! You'll see high altitude
views of majestic mountain vistas over 100 miles away, wildlife scurrying below and
bursts of color provided by spectacular mountain scenery. There are operators in almost
