Record Snowfall in Telluride – January 2016

This season is turning into an epic for Telluride in Colorado. So far the snowfall has topped 20 feet and if it keeps on at this rate then this will be a record season for snowfall in the resort.

Most snowfall for at least 10 years

The photos from local photographer Brett Schreckengost below show some of the superb conditions that skiers and snowboarders have enjoyed so far.

The resort enjoyed its biggest December and biggest January snowfalls for at least ten years. December snowfall was the second highest ever at 85.5 inches (217 centimetres). And 62.5 inches (159cm) fell in January, as El Nino continued to deliver.
